The cycle is the same\u2014chasing quick solutions, throwing money at every so-called master of the esoteric arts, and wondering why nothing is working. And then, of course, there are those who identify as devout Christians or Muslims yet have no issue dipping their hands into the spiritual pot for a little \u201cextra seasoning.\u201d They denounce the vulture but greedily pluck its feathers when in need.\n\nNow, you might get away with this if you venture into the Dark Arts\u2014where deception and greed dance together; but even that is a ticking time bomb. Ogbanje\u2019 s as we know it in Igbo speaking areas of Nigeria has the same meaning in Ndoki language as \u201cOwu\u201d. Yorubas calls it \u201cEmere\u201d. Many other tribes and people of the black race are aware of their existence and their names vary depending on language and dialect but they exist in our tradition even as I write this article. An Ogbanje has no definite sex. An Ogbanje can be a female or a male child as I am one
